En route to Connecticut
Saturday, March 6, 2004
3:50 PM PST, 5:50 PM CST
Minneapolis, Minnesotta
I am in the Minneapolis airport waiting for my connecting flight to Hartford Connecticut. I realized that I have been in this airport many times before but I don’t think I have ever ventured out into the city. Come to think about it I don’t think I have actually ever ‘been’ to Minneapolis in my life. The people getting off the plane I am about to board are all very well tanned. One woman had a Lei around her neck while a girl had a Mickey Mouse eared hat. They all look rather funny against the background of 25 degrees and snow but I guess that is what airports are all about. The accent and tone of the people around me definitely leave no doubt of what part of the US I am in though.
On the flight over I had a very good chat with Bob and Carol Clapp. Bob is a retired profession and theater director and Carol is very well read and broad in her knowledge. Definitely the best way to spend four hours in a tin can is by talking with people who have a lot they can talk about.
