Thursday in Rochester
2/27/03 1:21 PM
I am feeling better today and much more rested. I got a good eight hours of sleep last night and am acclimating to the three-hour time shift. It feels much better to be at work meetings and be alert. The meetings are very encouraging as well. We have been very well received and I am gaining confidence in the work team we are partnering with in Rochester.
Right now I am in the lobby of a chiropractor?s office just outside of Rochester. Tara, our team member from Ireland had to sit in an odd position on the flight from Dublin and woke up a couple of days ago with a bad pain in her back. She has been in a lot of pain and unable to lift or make many movements. Last night I got some education on back pain from the Kaiser advice nurse and this morning Tara made an appointment with a chiropractor to be seen. We had some bad directions to get here and got totally lost. The result was a rather nice trip through Rochester. We have seen a good bit of the city. I am hoping that the chiropractor will be able to help Tara, I would hate to have her travel back to Dublin tomorrow with a bad back.
It is another beautiful day, sunny and much warmer at 26 degrees. I am beginning to think the locals were not kidding when they called last week?s 40 degrees a heat wave, it feels much warmer outside than it has.
