[Movie News]

Fans of the cult vampire flick Underworld (2003) have reason to rejoice. As the marketing campaign for the sequel, Underworld: Evolution (2005) (scheduled for a December 9 2005 release), gets underway set photos and story elements are being revealed. According to a set report on MTV.com the newlywed director Len Wiseman and star Kate Beckinsale have been developing the story together. Evolution takes place for the most part after the first Underworld movie but has flashbacks to explore the relationship between Viktor (played by Bill Nighy) and Marcus (Tony Curran). Hungarian actress Zita Görög is also set to return for a larger role as Amelia the Vampire elder.

The sequel promises a lot more of the blue-skinned hybrid Michael, lots of combat and of course the sexy leather and latex clad Selene. The movie began shooting in Vancouver BC in November of 2004 and is set for release on December 9 of 2005.

I am a die hard fan of the first "Underworld" it's one of my favorite flicks that came out in 2003. I own the DVD and watch it all the time. I can't wait till the second one comes out. I'm looking more forward to seeing Michael & Selene's romance take off since the first movie told you a preview of what's yet to come. Is Kraven returning and Will the war between the vampires and the lycans still be in effect? I can't wait for Underworld:Evolution to come out I will be looking very forward to see it when it comes out.
