Logan Runs Again

[Movie News]

logan_run_caroussell.jpg

Oooh, I know exactly what this world needs, how about a Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects (1995), X-Men (2000), X2 (2003)) remake of the 70's classic sci-fi flick Logan's Run (1976)? According to Dark Horizons the production has booked a huge sound stage in Vancouver BC starring in September. I am not sure what to make of this news. In general 70s remakes = BAD and Bryan Singer = GOOD. Guess we shall have to wait and see what happens.

Cinefantastique devoted a whole issue to what went wrong with the first version. It was one of the first large-budget SF films to experince development hell. Almost everything got changed... in the novel, the original maximum age was 21!!!
