Underworld Movie and Trailer

[Movie News]

underworld.jpg

Continuing in the recent streak of Werewolf movies Underworld (2003) pits a sexy aristocratic vampire against a gang of street werewolves. The original teaser trailer did not make me want to go out and watch this one, but the follow-up full trailer has me quite intrigued. In addition to an interesting theme the movie seems to have a well developed sense of style. The trailer shows a very alluring gothic artistic direction as well as a very sexy lead (let's all thank Trinity and The Matrix for making tight vinyl pants and long leather trench coats popular).

Here is the plot outline listed in the The Internet Movie Database (IMDb):

Selene (Beckinsale), a beautiful vampire warrior, is entrenched in a war between the vampire and werewolf races. Although she is aligned with the vampires, she falls in love with Michael (Speedman), a werewolf who longs for the war to end.

I saw it, but, what is the name of the song used for background of the trailer? or the name of the band who plays it? any news about the soundtrack?

That is a very good question. The song seemed familiar but not enough for me to recall the name. I did a web search for "underworld trailer music" and found this:
http://www.hundland.com/movieboard.mv?parm_func=showmsg+parm_msgnum=1007393

"The group is Agent Provocateur and the song is Red Tape"

Posted by: Leopoldo on May 9, 2003 03:16 PM

that's the song.

thank you!

Posted by: 993 on May 10, 2003 05:02 PM

You are very welcome :-)

Posted by: Leopoldo on May 11, 2003 11:14 PM

Finally, a movie where werewolves are viewed as a race instead of a curse. That concept has been beat to death.

Posted by: madsatyr on May 12, 2003 03:37 AM

Except that from what I have read the Werewolves in Underworld are. well. accursed. They seem to be the scrawny back-alley bad guys in this world. Not your standard man-gone-wild werewolf treatment but not exactly noble Garou either.

Posted by: Leopoldo on May 12, 2003 09:50 PM

Trailer looks good, graphics are sharp and well put together. It'll be interesting to see if Beckinsale can pull off an action oriented role. I for one am greatly looking forward to seeing this after what the trailer has shown.

Can't wait to see this one. Hope the trailer isn't the best part of the movie--which is sometimes the case. Looking forward to some sexy vampire time.

I would like to know about this movie's Soundtrack

Who sings the Trailer?

By the way "Nice Site"..

Posted by: SMAIZER on May 21, 2003 08:22 AM

That question was already asked and answered. See the earlier comments.

Posted by: Leopoldo on May 21, 2003 10:04 AM

The track used for the trailer ("Red Tape" by Agent Provocateur) was originally used in the Bruce Willis/Richard Gere film "The Jackal" (remake of "Day of the Jackal"). It's (still) available on the soundtrack CD for that film.

Posted by: Terry Higgins, MSc on May 22, 2003 08:24 AM

Take a look at the latest Film Roar post http://www.geekroar.com/film/archives/000255.php for information on the Underworld web site.

Posted by: Leopoldo on May 22, 2003 01:43 PM

Nice site, i've never been here before but I thought I was the only one interested in seeing this movie, good to know i'm not alone.

Posted by: Annalisa on June 1, 2003 09:45 PM

Glad you like the site :-) And I think Underwold will have a niche but very devoted following. It looks like they are doing a great job of playing around with some very fun subjects.

Posted by: Leopoldo on June 2, 2003 11:24 AM

That song by Agent Provocateur is so great, when I first heard the song on the trailer I tried to find it, and when I downloaded it, I found out it is a very rare song, only a handful of people have it, and I am part of that handful now.

Posted by: Spyke on June 4, 2003 01:44 PM

Same goes about the soundtrack to this one, excellent choice made for the main theme music. I also have that within my movie collection!

On the other hand the movie looks great, definately worth a watch, looks very slick, kind of like Blade but without the cheesy comic feel. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Nice site by the way!

Nope. They ain't pulled that gun out yet.

Posted by: origen on July 13, 2003 11:54 PM

Yes they have been doing it. It's been hitting campuses around the U.S. because of the high rate of college students swapping from other colleges. They've hit my college as well.

Posted by: Mitch on July 15, 2003 07:42 AM

During the San Diego Comic Con Len Wiseman expressed intent for an Underwold sequel or prequel depending on how well the first movie does at the box office.

Posted by: Leopoldo on July 21, 2003 03:10 PM

There seem to be a lot of interest in the Underworld soundtrack. For all who are interested I suggest reading http://www.rockrage.com/headlines/news_archive/2K3/june/EatTheDay_062403.html where Wes Borland talks about working on the soundtrack.

Posted by: Leopoldo on July 21, 2003 04:51 PM

Posted by: spencer on July 21, 2003 05:07 PM

Does anybody know if this film is based on a comic series?

Posted by: anthman on July 22, 2003 12:18 AM

this movie is gonna be amazing, i wonder if it will do good in the box office tho, i have my doubts.

Posted by: belmontclan33 on July 23, 2003 10:11 PM

The film looks kickass. I personally dont think it will be a flop as the direction and the editing seem too well done, and that is only a tiny section of the movie and i reckon the rest will be even better. The soundtrack also ties in nicely wit hthe editing

When I first saw the name "Underworld" on quick time I though "cool" then I watched the trailer and bloody fell in love. I came to this site looking for the song Red Tape and instead found a bunch of people like myself...Underworld lovers. Im personaly rooting for the Vampire's. Even though they suck ;)....that was terrible, sorry. I'm an encouraging everyone to spread the word on this movie. Im hopeing it lives uo to my exspectations. I need a good movie. There has not been a good supernatural action thriller in a long time. Just one last thing...stop blasting this movie saying its a copy of the Matrix. It has some of the feel yes, but IT WILL stand alone.

I too have wanted to find a song used in a car commercial. I have had success with some songs by simply doing key word searches on google. I don't know of any other method that might be more accurate.

Because of that I won't advertise on it, but I do gladly accept donations to help keep the site running, or even better encourage people to buy geekroar merchendize (link at the top of every page) that way everyone gets something :-)

I would also love to have some links out to the site. And I love getting comments back. Everytime someone replies to a post I know there was someone else who not only found the site, but found something interesting enough to want to add to the discussion.

hey yall,

my question is also about the music in the trailer for "underworld". but i'm not talking about the song "red tape". what i'm talking about is the very first segment of music that has a choir in the background. think i've heard this in bram stoker's dracula but not sure. any help would be appreciated. also this is a kick-ass website

Posted by: tyler on August 28, 2003 06:47 AM

that song with the choir is called Bram Stoker's Dracula by: Wojciek Kilar. and if u guys ever wanna find a song from a movie trailer just go to http://www.soundtrack.net/trailers/ instead of google searching it. they always have all the new music from the newest movie trailers. cant wait for underworld looks awsome.

hey new topic for a second does anyone know the name of the song richard patrics new band damning well is doing for the underworld cd soundtrack? iv been trying to find out the name of it should be a good song has wes boryland from former guitarist of limp bizket playing guitar anyone know the name of the song by any chance?

Posted by: Pobe on August 29, 2003 12:10 AM

this might sound like a stupid question, but i don't see "Agent Provocateur" - "Red Tape" listed on the underworld soundtrack. im thinking about the song that plays on the full trailer on the website that u can download. its the song that plays halfway through the trailer when the action picks up. it sounds like a girl saying "Hey ho" pretty much through the entireity of the song.
i hope this didn't sound supremely stupid, but i just want to spend a long time looking for the RIGHT song. thanks in advance

It might of just been a typo but thats a lot of typos that occured. Unless they are witholding any information but with it being a trailer does not mean that it will have to be on the soundtrack. The only way they could mess it up is with bad acting, bad special effects, bad music, or bad sets. But after waching the trailer i knew this movie was perfect!!! By the way ive probally wached the full trailer like a thousand times!! its just great!!!!! And whatever you expect from this movie, forget about it! The movie is full of surprises. Wow...and here I thought I was the only one with way too much time on my hands looking up songs from trailers...Nice to know I'm not alone in loving the way this movie looks like it's going to turn out, though. And one more question...years ago I read a short story that was part of a compilation of vampire stories about a vampiress picking up a guy at a bar, taking him back to her place thinking that she'd get his blood and that'd be that...only to find out that he's a werewolf. Only now I can't for the life of me remember the name of either the book or the short...Anybody present know what that might be????

Posted by: rod on September 19, 2003 08:15 PM

Hey Does anybody know the name of the song playing when the werewolves have Michael in the car, and he's changing into one. Cheers!

Posted by: Steph1000 on September 23, 2003 12:40 PM

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT KIND OF CAR SELENE DRIVES. THE SECOND ONE.

Posted by: STRIKER VT on September 23, 2003 08:26 PM

Red Tape is awesome, been looking for this song for so long!

Underworld was a fun movie, look forward to the sequel...just as long as there is no "2" tagged on the movie title.

Posted by: Wolfengoose on September 23, 2003 09:55 PM

I dont think its Bram Stoker's Dracula that plays during the trailer start. I have that CD, and its all orchestra music, really dark stuff. None of it is techno, so it cant be that song.

And as for the car she drives, I think its the 2004 Audi Quattro Le Mans.

Posted by: Supraman on September 24, 2003 05:45 PM

Underworld was ultra stupid. Where did the powers of the regular vampires go? How come just the Vampire Lords had power? Not good enough. The Lycans had their own powers--just as the Vamps do. They didn't any hardly. The movie, in my book, was not worth going to see. Here is hoping the sequel is better...

Posted by: Me on September 24, 2003 08:08 PM

I don't think the Audi Le Mans is the car in the movie, unless it is one that was altered quite a bit for the movie. The front end resembles Jaguar's sports car series, but the car didn't look nearly as clunky as those do. Does anybody have any other ideas as to what car that was?

Posted by: Dope Vector on September 25, 2003 01:47 AM

All the vamps had powers. The Vampire lords just had more. The Lycans were stronger than a normal vampire physically, but Vampires were always more intelligent.

Posted by: Supraman on September 25, 2003 03:29 AM

The music from the middle part of the long trailer trailer sounds like some other Paul Haslinger music. I suspect it's his. Check out his album "World Without Rules" for some good beats mixed with dark ambience.

Posted by: Yxalag on September 25, 2003 11:13 AM

I happened to run across the Chrysler Crossfire tonite, which I believe is the car in the movie. I can't seem to find any source to confirm that, but I'm pretty sure that is the car.

A new set of Underworld pictures just posted to:

Hi all, I want to know what the song was when Kate is squatting on the wall at the beginning of the movie? What is that song, if anyone has it will they please send it to my email or tell me how I can get it. Thanks!

Posted by: Niki on September 26, 2003 12:20 PM

Its not a crossfire. The Crossfire has a narrow rear door if i remember correctly, and it goes down to the bumper. The car in the movie has more a 3rd door hatchback.

Posted by: Supraman on September 26, 2003 08:11 PM

Hi!!

What is the title of the song at the end of the trailer?

Please...

Agent Provocateur - Red Tape

Posted by: Supraman on September 28, 2003 05:45 PM

Anybody know the song that is playing when Michael is changing into a werewolf in the back of the car? It is not Agent Provocateur song. I believe it is a collaboration from Wes Borland and Danny Lohner called Coward but I am not sure.

Posted by: o0gestalt0o on September 28, 2003 10:50 PM

If it played during the movie its on the soundtrack. If i remember correctly the song is called Baby's First Coffin by Dillinger Excape Plan, but im not sure.

Posted by: Supraman on September 29, 2003 08:04 PM

No. I know it is not that one. I have seen the movie twice now and I am positive that it is not on the soundtrack. The credits had a listing for a song called " Coward" and I think that it is the track. I just can't seem to find it anywhere.

Posted by: o0gestalt0o on September 29, 2003 10:57 PM

I've been trying to get the song played in the police car too but can't find it anywhere. Do you know who it's by??

Posted by: Shayde on September 30, 2003 01:29 PM

*I've been through the entire soundtrack and it is definately not there.

Oh and will there be a CD released sometime in the future with the music played during the movie on it??

Posted by: Shayde on September 30, 2003 01:41 PM

Yea. It is the score done by Paul Haslinger. It will have the Red Tape song by Agent Provovateur. I am just hoping it also has the song we have been recently looking for on it.

Posted by: o0gestalt0o on September 30, 2003 07:56 PM

P.S. it comes out either October 13'th or 14'th

Posted by: o0gestalt0o on September 30, 2003 07:57 PM

ah thanks. I heard somewhere it would be released around the 14th but I thought it was a rumour as you can't pre-order it from any sites like Amazon, etc.

Erf, I can't find the 'Coward' song anywhere x__x

So nobody can find the song from Michael's transformation in the police car. Does this drive anyone else nuts except me?

Posted by: o0gestalt0o on October 6, 2003 09:23 PM

I too have been wondering about the song in the poilice car... About Selenes car I believe its a Maseratti, once i find the model i willpost it, the crossfire has a spoiler that pops up, so its not a crossfire.

Posted by: Phil on October 7, 2003 09:31 AM

the car Selene drives is a Maserati 3200GT, or at least within that line of Maserati

Posted by: jfca99 on October 7, 2003 09:37 AM

Yep, I want to know the song played during Michaels transformation, too.

I've seen the tracklisting on the Soundtrack due to be released in a weeks time and there's a song named 'transformation' on it. I'm presuming that's the one. If not then it must be listed in the ending credits somewhere.

Posted by: Shayde on October 7, 2003 11:41 AM

Excellent movie, can't wait for more =3
Nice site, ya got here, too.

Just was wondering...
Does anybody know where I can find the lyrics for the first song on the soundtrack, "Awakening"? I've looked everywhere my stoned-browser will let me and I still can't find it. Blah. It's driving me nuts!

Posted by: Wolfchylde on October 7, 2003 02:24 PM

Hey everyone. I was wonderin about the album you said was coming out on Oct. 14. Would someone mind explaining it more about what it will have or what it will be called. Cause i love those songs. So ide really appreciate if u emailed me some info or told me were to find it.Thanx

Posted by: Ram on October 7, 2003 06:09 PM

I agree with Supraman. The vampires were smarter than the lycans and that proved more effective during the war. Sure the lycans were stronger but they were manly thugs and were losing the war. O yea, i cant find any of the lyrics for the soundtrack. Could someone could email it to me or tell me were to find it. Thanx

Well still can't find the song going on during the car scene but here is a site with some real audio samples of the score coming out next Tuesday. Metamorphosis is not the song during the car scene as i believe it is one of the samples I heard.

The song from the trailer likely sounds familiar because it was played in the movie "The Jackal" with Bruce Willis and Richard Gere. The scene where Willis shot the female costar (I can't remember her name) in the liver. It was playing on the radio in the background before Bruce Willis shot it.

Anybody know the name of the song that comes on at the end of the film as the credits start to roll? Its an instumental bit. Its not in the soundtrack or score cds. Thanks for the help.

Posted by: mario on October 17, 2003 11:22 PM

ok. Here it is I think. Apparently the damning well recorded 3 or 4 songs but only one was released on the soundtrack. The reason, apparently, was that Amy Lee from Evanescence sang on the other tracks which caused contractual issues. The tracks have not been released and may never be.....which sux, but that is the reason you can't find them anywhere. The song during the police car transformation is supposedly called "coward" and is one of the unreleased tracks. If anybody finds a copy of it....please let us all know as I believe a lot of us have searched everywhere and can not find a trace of it.

Posted by: o0gestalt0o on October 21, 2003 09:03 AM

Well, I recently stumbled across this page, and I'll be redundant by saying it's really cool. Anyway, much like a few individuals here, I was a geek and have found some similar Russian pages. I did not learn to read cyrillic specifically for this though (I started learning it long before I even knew of Underworld). Anyway, I found this one great site that has a bunch of music. If you sign up, you get purchase mp3's for really cheap, or you can download 24kbps samples of full length songs. I choose to do the latter. Anyway, I noticed recently, you cannot download these samples unless you sign up, which is free. It's only challenging to figure out what you're supposed to put in each field. I should cut the crap and give you the link, here it is:

http://club.mp3search.ru/album.html?id=8604

I think there are options to set that site to be viewed in English or Cyrillic letters, so if you end up getting Cyrillic letters, "Red Tape" is number 12. Click the little audio symbol on the far right to get your sample. If you have Windows Media Player 9, you have the option of "Save Media As", which is really nice. If you don't have that, then you'll have to dig through your temporary internet files to put that one file into your desired music folder. Oh yeah, I think I just made the biggest geek of myself here.

Was stupid and bought the CD and the song that i now know as RED TAPE (THANKS TO THIS SITE) was not on it. Just WASTED MY F!!!ing Money.
they shoulden't even put the song on the trailer if it ain't going to be on the SOUNDTRACK.
people should start start to SUE them BASTERDS for false advertising
If it ain't goung to be on the soundtrack they should have a disclaimer on the trailer and the soundtrack. Besides you cant even read what F!!!ING songs ARE on the soundtrack with the packaging on it. THANKS!!!!!

I believe you're over reacting about that. A lot of movies have different songs on the traliers and are not on the soundtrack. It's no big deal. The soundtrack still has some pretty cool songs, and I just saw Underworld the other day ^_^!

Anyone who has the video, do you know what the song's called that's playing when Michael is turning into the Lycan in the cop car? If so, where can I find it? Some people on this board said it was possibly called "coward". If it is, then what's the band called? I really need to know! thanx!!!!!

just noticed it's midday over there. really wierd. it's 8pm here in Oxford. Everythings always late over here. All the films get released at least 2 or 3 months after you guys get them. You think its unfair when people put music in a trailer and then not on the soundtrack at least you've heard it. And now they're putting RCE on region 1 DVDs so I can't even get those anymore. Have a nice day ( I think that is the appropriate bidding - trying to go native!)
PS yes it is raining here at the moment - don't mock the afflicted.

"Baby's First Coffin" by Dillinger Escape Plan off of the Underworld Original Soundtrack

Dear God
Broken life
Come on
Laugh this time

She stares. Forever in death and ever again
Come on. Forward. Smile. Tricks and trade
She stares. She'll cut her again, cut again

Dear God
Broken life
Come on
Laugh this...

Silence tells us what they are. Silence tells us what they are
She's up and gone and done it again. Jimmy's got a new gun in his hand
She's up and gone and done it again. Jimmy's got a new gun in his hand
You're being a liar. You're being a liar. You're being a liar. You're being a liar.
How could you doubt? He would never find out
You're being a liar. Let's start the show. You're being a liar. I'm ready to go.
You're being a liar. You're being a liar. You're being a liar. You're being a liar.
How could you doubt? He would never find out
You're being a liar. Let's start the show. You're being a liar. I'm ready to go.
The emperor is dead. The emperor is dead. Goodbye. Don't cry.
Die. So long. Revenge. Defend. You know we brought the crowd to us

Staking time into the gust of wind to the face.
Never returning, favors take the prison to the man.
I could promise the world if we could travel through time.
Don't back out here. Now relax and remember the promise of the sign.
I wish you could see yourself now...you look at me like a child...
The way you glide across the room, it's drama of seduction.
Let go of it, Repunsel. Let it down.
Aim for the signal then bring it down with a smile....now...
Become the conductor...
The way you slide across the room...how wonderful.
A connection and the last cut still bleeds as good as the first one does.
It's just the opening seed of a new flame.
I look at you like a child but not at all like you looked at me...

The price is already paid. Now is the time to go back. Face what you've done
You should never said "Yes".
The price is already paid. Now is the time to go back. Face what you've done
The price is already paid.
The price is already paid. Now is the time to go back. Face the master.
You should never have said "Yes" when you really mean "No."

Can anyone tell me who they are talking about in #9 in the sound track, I dont know if anyone else feels this way but they are kinda speaking againt God arent they.....? That is my opinion but can you guys give me your opinion so I can understand better. I know it is for the movie but still. I like the song alot but i was wondering? could you guys help me out?

Posted by: Jannette on January 29, 2004 05:54 PM

Well, these are the lyrics to #9 on the soundtrack:

You're such an inspiration
for the ways that I will never ever choose to be.
Oh, so many ways for me to show you how your
savior has abandoned you.
F*ck your God, your Lord, your Christ.
He did this, took all you had, and
left you this way still you pray never stray never
taste of the fruit you never thought to question why.

It's not like you killed someone.
It's not like you drove a spiteful spear into his side.
Pray for one who left you broken down and paralyzed.
He did it all for you.

Oh, so many ways for me to show you how your
dogma has abandoned you.
Pray to your Christ, to your God.
Never taste of the fruit, never stray, never break.
Never choke on the lie, even though he's the one
who did this to you, you never thought to question why.

It's not like you killed someone.
It's not like you drove a hateful spear into his side.
Talk to Jesus Christ as if he knows the reasons why.
He did it all for you.

As for my opinion, I don't really know. I believe that some lyrics on here are may talk against God a bit..but further more, I think the song is okay, itself. x_x

Just downloaded Red Tape after watching the trailer a couple of times. Excellent at 2am sitting on the Front Range. I haven't seen the movie yet but I loved Kate in Seredipity and saw the trailer for VH...gonna rent it this weekend!!!

Posted by: Russ Mattson on February 4, 2004 12:46 AM

I was wondering if anyone had lyrics too Page Hamilton's 'Throwing Punches' on the Soundtrack?

Posted by: Risa on February 5, 2004 06:51 PM

The song everybody is curious about is indeed "Coward". It is unreleased and probably will never be as it is an ongoing project by Wes Borland and Danny Lohner. I bought the movie and recorded it onto a cd. It was the only way. I advise everyone else to do the same even though it is only about a minute and a half long. knock yourselves out.

Posted by: o0gestalt0o on February 5, 2004 09:20 PM

thanks for the name of the music on the underworld trailer, it is so difficult to find information on.

Posted by: kayleigh on February 16, 2004 03:25 PM

Could any please contact with the band and/or artist fo the song playing while Michael was in the backseat of the car with the werewolf cops? That would be very much appreciated. ^.^

OMG! the 2nd song on the Underworld soundtrack is absoluely wicked!!!

Posted by: vampiresskitten on February 18, 2004 07:33 AM

and also, if ANYONE can tell me what that awesome car is that Selene drives I'd be eternally grateful!

Posted by: vampiresskitten on February 18, 2004 07:38 AM

Does anyone know if Agent Provocateur have any other songs or their own CD? All I get in searching on line is the stupid lingerie site.

Posted by: Apok on February 19, 2004 02:51 PM

Hey guys, just in case any of you can't download the song Red Tape it's on the Underworld Original Score soundtrack. You know, all the background music. I've got the CD and the soundtrack and both are great.

Posted by: Meagan on February 19, 2004 05:21 PM

Hey i was wondering if any one had found the correct song that has been discussed many times before. the first techno song in the full trailor...what is it? some have said its bram strokers dracula...well i jsut downloaded it, its not. bram is and orchestral artist, nothing like techno. as far as answering apok's question on the agent provocateur cd... the ban origionally released an album in 1996 called where the wild things are. they are thus far a UK only band. you cand find the LP on amazon.co.uk for 35 (either dollars or pounds i dont remember if it was converted) plus shipping where ever your are. if any one could help me with the aforementioned song i would be extrememly grateful.

"Could any please contact with the band and/or artist fo the song playing while Michael was in the backseat of the car with the werewolf cops? That would be very much appreciated. ^.^"

- The song is called 'Coward' I believe it's by Wes Borland and Danny Lohner.(If you look at the name of the songs at the end of the movie, I'm sure it's there)

Posted by: Risa on February 20, 2004 07:54 PM

Also, I was skipping through the book, and it said the car that Selene drives is a Sliver Jaguar. Now someone up they're said it wasn't..er..I don't know which is right. Not that I really care, I don't really care about cars. Lol. I don't think anyone is looking for it anymore anyway. O_o

Hello fellow Lycans and Death Dealers alike... firstly permit me to voice my deepest adoration for this amazing supernatural cinematic experience. It is without a doubt my favourite movie of all time...

Now a question. Does anybody know where I may be able to download "free" hi-resolution images from the movie? (say around 1600x1200)

I have looked through numerous underworld fan sites but the screen captures they offer are too small for my needs. Yeah I know... picky, picky, picky...

Thank you in advance.

I've had "Agent Provocateur - Red Tape" since the late 90's. It's an AWESOME song, and, like some people who just found out about it because of the "Underworld" trailer, I had a lot of trouble finding it.

I first heard this AWESOME song in the movie "The Jackal", which is from about 1996. That same day I had to get the song. I can't believe up to this day, that song is so hard to find. It's also up to this date, after 9 years of using the internet, the only song I've never been able to find the lyrics of. If anyone has them.. send them to me. I can't be bothered to search... once again. :|

well, i did that, too, cuz i really wanted that song. also, i can play it on the guitar now :)

to record it you need the movie and a recording program. when you got both of it, just play the part of the movie, containing the song, the credits, and record it with your program.

though i gotta say this is only a part of the song. but the rest isnt really different from it, so it doesnt matter

Posted by: Megan on June 24, 2004 07:26 AM

Woot! I finally got my stuff together and figured out how to do it myself!!!

Here it be!

Wes Borland & Danny Lohner - Coward.mp3

Size: 3.27mb Duration: 1:25 BitRate: 320kbps 44khz Joint Stereo

Lemme break this down for yas.

1. You need a DVD-Rom on your computer. Put the DVD in it (duh).
2. Take a stereo cable and run it from the headphone jack in your PC's speakers to the line-in jack on your sound card. (A stereo cable is like a headphone plug on each end of the cable). http://www.radioshack.com/product.asp?catalog%5Fname=CTLG&product%5Fid=42-2497 or something similar.

3. Now download this nifty little proggy.
http://www.mp3towav.org/Audio-Record-Wizard/
Using that is self explanatory.

4. Go to the end of the movie in Windowns Media Player, where Marcus' eyeballs open up. Make sure the stereo cable is plugged in (your speakers should be on, but you shouldn't hear any sound). Hit record on the little program, wait approx. 1:30...then the song will be over. If you get a stupid sound before the song starts, or catch a bit of the next song after it, I have a small program where you can wipe that out and even loop this song up to 3 minutes almost seamlessly if you want.

If I'm rambling to a point where you don't understand...tell me. Hope this helps.

Underworld deff kicked ass, I can't wait for the sequel!! Everyone is asking about lyrics so I will too: where can I find the lyrics for Optimissed by Skinny Puppy? I love them but you can't understand what Ogre is saying. Please help

i was looking at another site and they said that buffy could kick the crap out of all the vanpires in selene's group. i just wanted to know how meny of you agree with that site. it also said that bufy couldnt beat the werewolves. i sure dont. when, if ever, is the next underworld comming out?

Posted by: skeletor_hercamp on July 8, 2004 11:58 AM

here is the wed address of the site that said that. www.kstatecollegian.com/. ../art_under.shtml
and my question about the sequal i already found that one out so just forget about it. i cant get into the trailer. i click it and it tells me that the site doesnt exist. what is up with that?

Posted by: skeletor_hercamp on July 8, 2004 12:11 PM

The site exists but the page has been taken down. Since Underworld has been out for quite a while now there is little point in leaving the movie trailer online. And by the way, you miss pasted your link to the Kansas State Collegian review, the correct link is http://www.kstatecollegian.com/stories/092603/art_under.shtml

Posted by: leopoldo on July 8, 2004 02:36 PM

to Leopoldo who got the song from the trailer...you so rock, i've been looking for it forever.

Posted by: Jen on July 14, 2004 09:46 AM

Hey there Erika,
I'm a long time A Perfect Circle fan and in my opinion, the song Judith is about Jesus. APC's singer Maynard James Keenan also sings for Tool and that band has a long history of blasphemy. Check out their song 'Eulogy', which is also about the messiah in question. ('Get off your fucking cross, we need the fucking space to nail the next fool martyr': ... riveting stuff) The 'Fuck your God' lyric appears to back this up. As I write this, I'm starting to consider another possibility. He might be talking about Judas (Judas/Judith, geddit?). I don't know. It's something to consider...

The 'coward' song (or riff) referred to - ie the one where michael changes in the car - is on ed2k for anyone with emule etc.

I can post the hash link if that's allowed (?)

Anyway the (rather long) file name is:
"Underworld Soundtrack - 'Coward' - Wes Borland & Danny Lohner - unreleased - complete (1'22).mp3"

hopefully we're talking about the same tune here or I'm going to look rather silly :)

Do you know the edonkey network (ed2k)? There's some info about this file in the post above yours.

Posted by: bean on December 4, 2004 05:01 PM

No, I do not know about the "ed2k". What is it? The only thing I know for sure is that I want that song. Even if it is only a minute and a half long. Please help me get it. Thanks.

Posted by: Dale on December 5, 2004 11:04 AM

erm *a little surprised to hear this* - well, ed2k is just a filesharing network. emule is the most popular client for accessing it.

So all you need to do is d/l and install emule, which is only about 4 MB in size and also free:) and then search for the filename I gave in my earlier post.

You can get emule here:
http://www.emule-project.net/
(for windows only)

(there is a mac version here: http://www.amule.org/ but it's beta)

Let me know how you get on.

It kinda sounds like a choir. In the trailer, its the part where the voice (lol) starts talking and says
"Now a decision must be made, between an oath sworn centuries ago..." blabla bla and Erika's asking Selene "Why did you bring him here?"

Does anyone know the name of the first song played during the credits right after the movie? I don't think it had any lyrics, and I'm pretty sure it was called "Coward" or "Courage". But I'm really not sure. If anyone could get the name and artist of that song, that'd be awesome. Thanx.

Posted by: ktalyse on May 13, 2005 10:20 AM

It's called Coward, by Danny Lohner and Wes Borland.

Posted by: Ethan on May 16, 2005 08:41 AM

Jesus, I should have put a price on the rip of the Coward song, I'd be a millionaire by now.

Whoever created this thread:
http://www.salterbomb.com/forum/index.php?s=7cd24b574d376d5a6f11accfed1cd3f0&showtopic=4027&pid=79685&st=0&#entry79685

Used my rip which is ok but lemme know next time. My plan is to break it down into wav format and loop it somehow. Maybe 3-4 minutes when I'm done.

Posted by: Jimbo on June 27, 2005 07:51 AM

Ok I was looking for this song too and finally found it on emule. It might be Jimbo's rip from the movie or maybe not. If it is then I'm sorry, wasn't trying to steal it from ya, but it's now out for anyone to download, if they don't mind waiting forever to get it that is..lol.

But I just did a splice on it to make it longer and it came out pretty good. It's 2:38 now which isn't too bad but I felt that if I made it longer it would be too repetitious. I was going to smooth out the part where I made the splice a bit, but the song is pretty slammin to begin with and I think it adds a little punch in there at the change that accually sounds like it belongs there. It's at 320kbps bitrate for those of you that prefere the higher quality like I do.

Now the next problem, how to offfer it to all of you that just gotta have it? Well I decided to just use my junk email account and let you guys email me if you want me to send it. If anyone trys to mail me some crap the account will be deleted and you will spoil it for everyone else. Yeah I know there is a butthead in every crowd but I'll be sure to post thier email here if someone does and leave it up to you guys ;)

lucifer1966@msn.com

And Jimbo I hope you are the first to email me about it.

ok alot of you keep asking for the song that plays while Michael is changing in the back of the police car or the FIRST song when the credits play.

YES...THIS IS THE ONE!
It's called Coward by Renholder (Wes Borland & Danny Lohner)

NO IT'S NOT THE ONE ON THE TRAILER
