New Hulk Trailer
[Movie News]
Apple has posted a new trailer for the Hulk movie. I am sorry to say that it does not make the movie look very good.
total and complete crap!!!!!!! NICE GREEN C G I BLOB!!!!
Posted by: ryan on April 30, 2003 08:22 PMWhat do you guys want???? A guy in a green foam outfit??? Wait for the whole movie............then decide. It seems to look pretty good with him leaping in the desert and on the cliff surounded by Apache helicopters.
Posted by: David on May 1, 2003 07:25 AMI actually think this trailer gives me a little hope. I think The Hulk looks fine. There are still problems with CG characters, but they're better than all the other options at this point in most cases, I would say. I am a little annoyed by some of the physics, like the huge jump you see The Hulk do and the throwing of the tank. I hope he doesn't have too much grace. He's a brute, an ogrely brute, not Superman. The thing that gives me hope is just some of the other-than-action portions. I don't know. It's a toss-up. I'm definitely more optimistic about X2 (which seems to be getting excellent reviews so far, too).

Posted by: Nick on May 1, 2003 01:05 PMYou know, the jump bugged me too because of the ugly physics of it.. but then I remembered that the Hulk in the comic book is described as making these multi-mile jumps... so I think they are just trying to stay true to the source.
Posted by: Leopoldo on May 1, 2003 03:12 PMI read the Hulk comics of the 70's. This trailer depicts him precisely, exactly true to the comics. Physics? Come on! Fergittaboutit. This little scientist assumes a mass that would be in the hundreds of tons and more dense than gold, but leaves normal footprints. He jumps miles at a time . . .in a straight line. He pounds the ground and causes linear earthquakes. He is the HULK.
Posted by: David on May 3, 2003 06:30 PMThere an even newer trailer with a lot more footage of the Hulk up at the Apple web site. See the apple site

The best descrption I've heard of this trailer is "Shreck Gone Wild."
Posted by: Raul on May 12, 2003 07:48 AMHehe.. pretty good description.
Posted by: Leopoldo on May 12, 2003 09:52 PMThis may be all very well but has anybody considered the negative ideological values this film is presenting towards young children? Derived from the popular cartton, obviously aimed at a young audience due to its origins causes distress upon my concerns for the on screen violence it includes. Such dangerous fighting sequences and gross images could be corrupting our children with the knowledge violence is OK.
