Moonstruck (1987)
[2 - OK]
The curious thing about watching Moonstruck (1987) was realizing near the end of the movie that I had actually seen it before. Don't get me wrong, the movie is well written and well made. The acting is top notch, Cher and Nicolas Cage both do a great job. Even better is the supporting cast Vincent Gardenia, Olympia Dukakis, Danny Aiello, Julie Bovasso, John Mahoney and Louis Guss each seemed to have been made for the parts they play. All the elements are there for a great movie, and for all I know the movie probably is great, but for some reason I have never managed to get into it. The movie did not interest me enough when I first saw it for me to remember it (or even remember I had seen it) and it did not interest me enough on the second watching to keep my attention.
