How to Marry a Millionaire (1953)

[2 - OK]

Starring Betty Grable, Marilyn Monroe and Lauren Bacall, How to Marry a Millionaire (1953) is everything you would expect from the 1950s "Diamond Collection" of movies bankrolled by the diamond industry: Shallow, witty, sexist, fun and incredibly beautiful. With gorgeous cinemascope shots of the mountains of Maine and elegantly dressed sets, the triple punch of Grable, Monroe and Bacall are not all that make Millionaire a pleasure to watch. Just bite your tongue as Monroe explains that gentlemen pay no attention to girls who wear glasses or Bacall informs us that money is paramount to a relationship, and you may just get a kick out of this classic.
