Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003)
February 19th, 2004 at 9:42 am (1 - Pretty bad)
After watching Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) from a library borrowed DVD I am so glad I did not waste any money to see it in a theater. I came to the movie without any high hopes but what I got was definitely worse than what I expected. The crap story the movie spoon fed us is an insult to the well-written B movie original and the special effects extravaganza sequel. The jokes are recycled from the first two movies and not at all funny, even the effects are anything but special. To anyone curious enough to want to see this movie I suggest you save both your money and your time and go watch either of the two over instead, you will be glad you did.

For the most part, I agree. Expect worse from the Arnie-less fourth installment.

It was a HUGE mistake to try and make more movies without Cameron, and the idea of one without Cameron OR Schwarzenegger is almost nauseating.

Another problem with T3 is that by no stretch of the imagination can Nick Stahl be imagined as a grown-up Edward Furlong. That’s just ridiculous.

Gotta agree, it is a shocker.
Absolutely no character development, the strength (or one of) of the first 2 was the belief that the terminators were the ultimate robotic killing machines…
This film didn’t even bother with that, they could have easily extended the first half, and developed the terminator character to be pure analytic evil with no discernable way to terminate it.
Then scenes like the car chase would have had a lot more power.
A film franchise that never should have left James Cameron’s control

As far as I can see, the sole redeeming aspect of T3 is its score, which I felt was one of Marco Beltrami’s better efforts. It’s a piece of T3-related merchandise I can admit to owning without blushing.

This movie really should be one scene of T4 or something. It really doesn’t go no where. I was very disappointed after I watched it and expect the next one if there ever is and probably wont be to pick up with a machine verse human war, graphic and good CGI work is a plus in my opinion if T4 should ever hit the theaters.

Didn’t mention this above. I also agree that it should of never left James Cameron’s control and should now leave to be under someone elses control and Schwarzenegger….well Governor? wtf did he do with his career right? now T4 if it is released won’t be the same without him.
