Remember the Titans (2000)
I am surprised that the Disney film Remember the Titans (2000) did not receive more attention and acclaim when it was out. I remember avoiding it as yet another “jocks overcome adversity to win one for the team football flick”. The movie is more of a “jocks overcome prejudice about diversity to win one for the team football flick”. Or if you want to take it a step further, “people come together and build a working team” movie. That is the context in which I saw this movie, my boss at work had us watch it in order to spur some thought around teamwork and team building. I think he chose the title well, the movie was quite good and definitely thought provoking.
It feels a bit like Denzel Washington lacks range, I have come to be able to predict the personality of the character he will play because it always seems to be the same. The personality he projects has such forceful charisma though, that I am not sure this is a bad thing, as it is a pleasure to see him on the big screen.
Don’t let the football team of this movie keep you from watching it (like it did me), the movie is really about the players, the people, and not about the game. They even add an effective soundtrack to keep those of us who could care less about football entertained and exited through the games.

I LOVE REMEMBER THE TITANS! the acting is good compared to most teenage sports films! like everyone i have a favourite character- mine is JULIUS! i think he is deep and his frinedship with bertier is a strong part in the film! i like one of the soundtrack, i thinks its different and it does really work! i was worried at first to watch the film but now i’m glad i did! its a rel eye opener and i cant help but feel angry towards white people for the petty hatred they had towards others who had a different coloured skin, BUT this film also showed it from both sides in that the black kids also had a problem with the whites!
it was an alround great film!

remember the titans is my fave movie in the whole world the story behind it is amazing and i get really into it every time that i watch the movie. keep up the good work whoever the director is because i personally think that you should make a remember the titans 2. and use all of the same cahracters

I watched this movie last night. I’d forgotten how much I love it! The soundtrack is amazing…me and my sister and my mom listen to that CD alot and blast the stereo and sing with it. I love this movie…it’s the best movie I have EVER seen!!!

This is my favorite movie of all time. I know that many of the comments start with that but i ain’t gonna lie. it is. I love it, and have seen it a hundred times. The acting is great and the plot gives me a heartfelt feelin’. I love how the football team could put aside their differences (ecspecially durin this time period) and become the best of friends. People today have that problem, and won’t let it go. It is easier for whites and blacks to be friends in this age but not always very liked. Love and peace are very much part of this movie which in my opinion makes it an instant classic. If only people today would remember the Titans.

o my i luv this movie! i luv how in the begining they wont even sit next to eachother unless they absolutly have to but in the end they stick together with everything! thats what real friendship looks like! i luv supermans realationship with umm…yea his friend its so cute! i luv it! im inlove with this movie! i cry everytime! its so touching! i luv it!

i love this movie! its such an eye opener! i love how the charecters make it seem so real! julius and superman are my favorites in it! they have the best friendship! i love how even when supermans girlfriend was there he still stuck with julius! and then after superman is paralized julius is standing on the side lines and supermans girlfriend comes up to him and talkes to him and even shakes his hand! i think thats awsome! its so touching! it makes me have so much hatred to white people back then and even now doing all the crap just because they have diffrent color of skin! its such an eye opener! its not only insperational but its also some what funny any and sad and it shows u what real friendship is! i want to be just like superman and julius with my friends! and i kno everyone else in this world wants to or should want to, too! well yea! i just love everything about that movie! REMEBER THE TITANS….or else! jk lol i love it!

i think remember the titans is hott, the acting,language & music.let alone the guyz . petey & sunshine,them is so fine !!!especially petey, but all in all it is great , & i must say that denzel is a good actor all the characters he play in all his movies they suit him a lot. i got a question for denzel,how do i get my movies acted ? coz i also write movies of my own & i want them acted.

Sunshine is the best….in my opinion he is amazing and really

Gerry and Julis are my favorite bond n this movie because they get along
so wel and the never used to friends until they had to become friends
that is one of my favorite parts!

this is the best movie ever ;; Gerry and Julius are my favortie characters EVER. there brothers and i love it . it made me cry. the end of the movie gave me a good feeling. i love it when all the light and dark skines are fighting in school and julius and gerry break them up // i think it shows how powerful mixing two races together can be.
