TNG: Code of Honor
June 20th, 2003 at 8:18 am (Trek Talk)

Keeping the sexy edge of Next Generation running TNG Code of Honor has some hot girl on girl action for the fourth episode. Sure the fighting looked fake, but the plot idea was pretty good and it showed the TNG writers were willing to think out of the box. For some reason this episode feels like it belongs more in the original Star Trek.

Check out the original episode ‘Amok Time’ and you’ll know why.

Its more than just the fighting. It’s everything - the whole premise. Tribal people with weirdo rituals and traditions trading with the big honchos of the Federation, or wotever. The costumes, sets, plot, characters, script, action, everything is SO Original. What is it with first season and cookie-cutter copies of its better-off-dead predecessor??

This was a pretty good episode! And so what if it is rather like an Original Series episode (which was a good show, and NOT better off dead, thank you very much!)? I liked Yareena. She’s cool. And of course any episode where Tasha has scenes is a good one. She’s a really cool character who added a lot to the series. It’s such a pity that she got killed.
Has anyone ever noticed how Lutan’s wife is named Yareena, and Tasha’s last name is Yar?
(See? I’m perfectly capable of making comments that have absolutely nothing to do with Wesley.)

Yeah….but there was nothing in my actual comment aobut him, even though there are couple of scenes with him in this that I really enjoyed.
