28 Days Later DVD Review

The British Zombie flick 28 Days Later (2002) by Danny Boyle (Trainspotting (1996), Shallow Grave (1994)) due to come out in the US on June 27th seems to be available on DVD in what I assume is UK regional encoding. The R2 Project has a review that makes the movie sound quite interesting. Here is an excerpt:

In the end though, its not the dead the living need to worry about, it’s each other. Without wising to spoil anything, the film is neatly divided into two halves, the living vs. the dead and the living vs. the living and in many ways it’s this second half that is the most chilling, how many meals are we away from returning to the jungle?

This film is very, VERY good. Haven’t been quite as scared in a long time, and i watched with a big group of mates.

I can’t find much to dislike other than a few moments of stupidity from the characters (but then every horror film needs it’s characters to do a couple of stupid things at the very least eh?). It’s superbly shot, has great atmosphere, some good acting and it should scare the crap outta you……i can’t recommend it enough….

    cheers
